In September 2025, Greyhound Hollow celebrated two milestones at once: its 50th anniversary and the unveiling of its first-ever synthetic turf surface. Principal Chad Parker and Athletic Director Dewain Clark marked the occasion with a ribbon cutting, welcoming alumni, school district officials, students, and staff to witness the transformation of one of Iredell County's most storied athletic venues.

The new Pivot turf field is engineered to replicate the feel and performance of natural grass without requiring infill. A new six-lane track is also being added, completing a full stadium renovation. Statesville was the fourth high school in the Iredell-Statesville Schools system to make the move to synthetic turf, joining Lake Norman, North Iredell, and West Iredell.
